Elanco, the makers of Comfortis for Dogs have announced that Comfortis for Cats is now available in Australia.

In a press release issued to veterinarians on March 12, Elanco advised that Comfortis, is now registered for use in cats in Australia and new packaging will shortly be available.

According to the press release the 5 pack sizes of Comfortis currently available will remain the same, but as the Comfortis dosage for Cats (50-100mg/kg) is different than the dosage for dogs (30-60mg/kg), the 140mg, 270mg and 560mg pack sizes of Comfortis will be co-labelled for use in both cats and dogs.

Over the coming months, packaging and labelling changes will be made to reflect the new registration of Comfortis for Cats. There will also be changes to the 810mg and 1620mg packs for dogs to reflect new imagery and pack layout.
