The Million Paws Walk is an annual national fundraising day for the RSPCA that will be held on the 15th of May this year.
The RSPCA Million Paws Walk is the ultimate day for all pet lovers, owners and even those who don't have a pet but would like to join in raising funds for a great cause.
The aim of the event is to get over 250,000 animals (which would make a total of one million paws) and their owners to get together and walk along designated routes in various cities and towns around Australia to raise much needed funds and community awareness for the care and protection of animals.

Priceless |
Our latest Poll has revealed that 58% of pet owners consider their beloved pet to be "priceless".
The poll asking "how much is your furry best friend worth" has discovered that 24% of people can in fact put a price on their pet and have voted their pet to be worth $10,000.
Around 10% percent of the population believe their pet is worth $1,000 and 3% have voted their pet to be worth $1,000,000.
It was also nice to see that only a very small 3% of people voted in the $100 price range, proving that it really is hard to put a price on the unconditional love and friendship a pet can give.

Ban is definitely no ordinary dog after showcasing some outstanding survival skills that has seen the clever pooch make headlines all around the world.
Ban the miracle dog |
Not only did Ban survive the 8.9 magnitude earthquake and tsunami that hit the North coast of Japan last month but he has also survived 3 weeks adrift at sea floating on the roof of a house.
A member of the Japan Coast guards spotted Ban from a helicopter and all rescue efforts went into full swing to bring the 2 year old pup safely back on land. After returning to shore Ban's survival efforts received a huge amount of media coverage worldwide which has led to a remarkable ending to the story.
Ban's owner saw her beloved furry friend on television while watching the news and has miraculously been reunited once again with her pet that she feared had been lost forever.
It is a truly amazing story of survival that has given hope to thousands of Japanese people who are still yet to be reunited with loved ones. Our hearts go out to all the Japanese people that have been victims of such a tragic event.

Our VetShopAustralia Flood Support concessions have now come to a close and we hope that the initiative was able to provide some financial help to the flood affected pet owners during such a tough time.
Lines of people gathered to lend a hand |
Although some of the losses that people endured were completely irreplaceable, it is heartwarming to see Queensland starting to rebuild itself back to being the beautiful state that it is renowned for.
The immense amount of community spirit has seen people joining together to lend a helping hand in any way they can to help the people of the flood affected areas to get back on their feet and attempt to recover from all the devastation that the floods caused to so many people.
